Nahyan bin Mubarak attends in Dubai the celebration of the Emirates and Ireland, the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations

Dubai, April 11 / WAM / The United Arab Emirates and Ireland commemorated the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between them, during a high -level official ceremony held yesterday evening at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai, with a prominent participation of senior government officials, ambassadors and representatives of business sectors in a festive atmosphere that expresses the depth of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The organization of the ceremony came at the invitation of Hison Alison Milton, the Ambassador of Ireland to the UAE, which delivered a speech on this occasion in which she expressed the pride of her country in the strong partnership with the UAE, praising the achieved during the past five decades of fruitful cooperation in various sectors, especially in the fields of education, technology, investment, and culture.
His Excellency Nayam Smith, Minister of Commerce Promotion, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation in Ireland, also delivered a major speech at the ceremony, in which she emphasized the distinguished position occupied by the UAE in Irish foreign policy, especially in light of the new economic and digital trends. She pointed out that the two countries intersect their vision towards a future based on innovation and digital economy, which opens promising horizons for more bilateral cooperation.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, along with a group of senior officials, including Sheikha Hessa bint Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al -Marri, Minister of Economy, His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al -Zyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, His Excellency Ahoud Bint Khalfan Al -Roumi, Minister of State for Governmental and Future Development, His Excellency Reem Bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State International Cooperation, and His Excellency Mohamed Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Ireland.
The ceremony also witnessed a wide presence of members of the diplomatic corps, as a large number of ambassadors of countries accredited to the country participated in a clear expression of the international community’s appreciation of the Emirati -Irish relations.
The ceremony included Irish cultural and musical shows presented by specialized artistic teams, which expressed the rich heritage of Ireland, and contributed to a festive character that reflects the purity of cultures and enhancing understanding between the two peoples.
This celebration is the culmination of the fifty -year march of diplomatic relations that started in the 1970s, and developed to form a model for cooperation based on mutual respect and common vision, as bilateral relations in recent years have witnessed remarkable growth in various fields, especially in the sectors of higher education, commercial exchange, direct investment, as well as coordination in central international issues such as climate change And sustainability.
The ceremony was an opportunity to enhance dialogue between representatives of the two governments, diplomats, businessmen and civil society institutions, as the attendees discussed future cooperation opportunities in light of the current global transformations, especially in the areas of artificial intelligence, renewable energy, digital education, and green economy.
