Türkiye seeks to lift sanctions on Syria

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed to his Syrian counterpart, Ahmed Al -Shara, today, that Türkiye will continue its diplomatic efforts to lift international sanctions imposed on Syria.

This came in a statement issued by the Turkish presidency.

The statement added that Erdogan stressed during his meeting with the Sharia at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum in Türkiye the need to intensify efforts to enhance trade and economic cooperation with Syria, and that Türkiye will continue to provide support to it.
