The auction of the 120 premium numbers generates the highest financial revenue

The proceeds of the 120th public auction of distinctive vehicle plate numbers, which was launched by the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, last Saturday, amounted to 109 million and 26 thousand dirhams, and this outcome represents the highest financial revenue in the history of the distinctive number auctions since its launch.
The number “BB12” achieved the highest price value in the auction, and was sold for nine million and 660 thousand dirhams, followed by the number “AA25” for eight million and 40 thousand dirhams, then the number “BB30” for six million and 740 thousand dirhams, and the number “CC100” for four million and 210 thousand dirhams.
The results achieved by the auction confirm the success of the strategy followed by the Authority in its public and electronic auctions, as it is based on neutrality, transparency, and providing equal opportunities for those wishing to acquire distinctive numbers that carry a symbolic value for their owners. In its 120th public auction, which took place in the “Al Joud” hall at the Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City Hotel, the Authority offered 90 double, triple, quadruple, and five-number license plates for distinctive categories of vehicles. “AA – BB – CC – KNORTUVWXYZ”.
