The UAE strongly condemns the attacks on the camps for the displaced and the relief teams near the Sudanese Fasher

The UAE has strongly condemned the armed attacks on the clients of Zamzam and Abu Shok, near the city of El Fasher, Darfur, and to the relief teams and cadres operating in the region, which caused the death and injury of hundreds of innocent people, in a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned all violence against humanitarian workers who devote their lives to serve the needy, and stressed that targeting relief employees is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law that guarantees the protection of workers in the medical sector and relief and rescue teams, and stressed the importance of their respect and protection and the need not to be goals in conflicts.
The ministry called, all parties – which do not put the slightest consideration of the size of the suffering that the Sudanese people suffer – to respect their obligations in accordance with international law and the declaration of Jeddah and according to the mechanisms of the platform “Alliances to promote saving lives and peace in Sudan Alps “And the need to take immediate steps to protect civilians, and to facilitate the introduction of humanitarian aid urgently and in all available means and without any obstacles.
The Ministry stressed that no party has the right to hinder the arrival of life -saving aid, noting that the use of relief work and humanitarian aid is a weapon convicted, and in this context, the UAE calls on the United Nations not to allow any parties to the conflict to exploit humanitarian aid for military or political purposes.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reaffirmed the position of the UAE calling for a peaceful solution to the conflict in Sudan, the need for an immediate ceasefire, and the firm commitment of the UAE to support the efforts made to address this catastrophic crisis, and to collective work with regional and international partners to ensure stability and peace for the brotherly Sudanese people.
