Salloum: The success of “Formula 1” and McLaren’s victory is an economic and developmental success story

The Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee in the House of Representatives, Ahmed Al -Salloum, stressed that the Bahrain Grand Prize for “Formula 1” has become one of the national symbols that reflect the advanced sporting position of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the role it plays as a leading country in hosting the most prominent international championships and events, explaining that Bahrain is not only achieved success in the field of sport, but also the economic and developmental success story based on specific investment and strategic planning.

Salloum raised the highest verses of congratulations and blessings to the king of the country, on the occasion of the impressive success achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in organizing the Bahrain Grand Prize for Gulf Aviation for “Formula 1” in its twenty -first edition, which also culminated in the victory of the McLaren team in the 2025 race over the Bahrain International Circuit, in a historic achievement of the team. He also extended congratulations and blessings to His Highness the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, praising the continuous efforts and strategic visions of His Highness in the upgrading of the name of Bahrain globally, and to achieve qualitative gains at the sports and economic levels through this leading international event.

He said that “the qualitative and honorable success achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in organizing the” Formula 1 “race on its soil confirms the Kingdom’s progress in the consolidation of its position as a global sporting destination, thanks to the directives and lofty visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, which had a great impact in converting Bahrain into an international platform that embraces the most prominent sporting events, foremost of which is races “Formula 1”, which is related to the name of Bahrain worldwide, “noting the insightful economic vision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which was embodied in the decision of strategic investment in the McLaren team through the Bahrain Holding Company, a decision that has proven its right, which confirms the importance of smart investment in areas related to sports economy and global marketing.

The Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee praised the prominent role and the great efforts made by the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mamlukalah, Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, in leading the development process in Bahrain Holding Property, stressing that this success comes as a culmination of an ambitious national strategy based on investing in sectors of long -term return, and enhances Bahrain’s position in the global economic arena. Al -Salloum expressed his pride in the great victory scored by the McLaren team in the Bahrain race, noting that the Australian driver Oscar Pestry’s victory in the first place, and the achievement of his British teammate Lando Norris third place, reflects the high competitive performance of the team, and establishes Bahrain’s position as a land of opportunities and achievements in the world of car racing, stressing that the successive successes achieved by the Kingdom in various fields are the fruit of vision Series and comprehensive development policies pursued by leadership, and a pride for every Bahraini.
