The Emirati Business Council – Moroccan holds its first meeting

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted the first meeting of the “UAE Joint Moroccan Business Council”, in the presence of the Vice President of the UAE Chambers Union and Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber, Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in the country, Ahmed Tazi, and the President of the General Federation of Moroccan Contracting, Shakib Al -Alaj.
The Council aims to enhance economic and investment relations between the UAE and Morocco, and to provide opportunities for companies and institutions in both countries.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the council’s future mechanism and map, and affirmed the importance of continuing cooperation between the Emirati and Moroccan private sector, and achieving more steps and initiatives to support relations between all institutions and companies in the two brotherly countries.
Al -Owais stressed that the holding of the first session of the “Emirati Moroccan Business Council” in Sharjah is a new addition in the edifice of the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries that are rapidly evolving in all fields, indicating that the council will benefit from the various expertise and investment benefits enjoyed by the UAE.
He also stressed that the council’s meetings will establish a new start for a joint future work for the business community, especially since the council includes a group of major business owners, investors and representatives of major commercial and economic companies in the two brotherly countries.
For his part, the President of the General Federation of Moroccan Contracting, Shakib Al -Alaj, highlighted the great capabilities of cooperation in strategic sectors, such as tourism, infrastructure, food industries, renewable energy, finance and advanced technology, pointing to the increasing number of Moroccan companies that chose the UAE as a center for its business, in addition to the important Emirati investments in Morocco, which reflects the dynamic and vitality of economic relations between the two brotherly countries.
