The Squash Federation will launch the “Emirates Championship 2” next May
The Emirates Squash Federation announced the launch of the Emirates Open Championship from the second to the fourth of next May, with the wide participation of players and players in different age groups that include the cubs, the young men and women under 11, 13, 15, 17, and young under 19 years, in addition to the men and women.
The Emirates Open Squash Championship is granted the highest ranking points in the season, as the first -placed will win 3000 points, compared to 2100 points for the second place winner, 1660 points for third place, and 1,200 points for fourth place, and the winners will be crowned the title of “Emirates Champions for Squash”.
Mohamed Mubarak Al -Mutai’i, President of the Squash Federation, stressed that the Emirates Open Championship embodies the Federation’s vision to develop the game, by providing championships for all age groups with the highest international standards, to be a platform for discovering talents, preparing them for effective participation with national teams in international forums, pointing out that the aim of the classification is to collect all data on players and stand at their levels, which contributes to drawing future plans and attracting the most prominent talents of the teams Patriotism.
Al -Mutawayyi revealed that the inclusion of cubs and junior categories confirms the union’s keenness to expand the base of practitioners and provide an opportunity for the various age groups to develop their capabilities and gain experience in a professional competitive environment.
