المملكة: The intensity of shocks reduces .. How does rotational barriers raise the level of road safety?

The General Authority for Roads emphasized the importance of rotational barriers, one of the most important possibilities in road safety systems, and is considered one of the most prominent means of promoting safety on the road network in the Kingdom.
This step comes within the efforts of the body’s continuous efforts to improve road safety levels, especially in sharp curves and high areas, as these barriers contribute to reducing the intensity of shocks caused by accidents, especially when there are dangerous obstacles near the road.
The Roads Authority explained that the rotational barriers are an advanced model for raising the level of road safety, as this technology consists of metal symptoms and preventive barriers, in addition to rotating cylinders installed on these barriers, and metal lists that fix concrete bases, ensuring the effectiveness of the effects of barriers and the protection of road users.

Road mortality lowering

The authority affirmed its keenness to implement the best policies and standards that contribute to upgrading the road sector, to achieve strategic targets for the sector by reaching the sixth classification in the Road Quality Index globally by 2030, and reducing road deaths to less than 5 cases per 100 thousand people.
As well as covering the road network with traffic safety factors according to the classification of the international road evaluation program (IRAP), maintaining the level of advanced services for the level of capacity for the road network, and raising the participation of the private sector in operational works.
