Hamdan bin Zayed monitors the progress of the Red Crescent’s Ramadan programs inside and outside the country

Abu Dhabi, 12 March / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, was briefed on the progress of the Authority’s Ramadan programs inside and outside the country. His Highness directed the strengthening of the Authority’s initiatives during the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan, especially in countries that suffer from many humanitarian challenges due to their current circumstances, within the framework of the UAE’s humanitarian approach led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority. The country, may God protect it, pays great attention to humanitarian and charitable work, and is keen to consolidate the values of giving and solidarity, extending a helping hand to those in need, and strengthening the UAE’s presence in supporting communities affected by humanitarian crises and challenges in various parts of the world.

This came while His Highness received, at the Palm Palace in Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Dr. Hamdan Musallam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Red Crescent Authority, His Excellency Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, Member of the Board of Directors of the Red Crescent Authority, and His Excellency Ahmed Sari Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Red Crescent Authority.

His Highness was briefed on the details of the programs for breaking the fast and breaking the fast implemented by the Authority at the state level from the beginning of the month of Ramadan until now, in addition to Zakat al-Fitr and Eid clothing that the Authority began implementing for the benefit of the beneficiary segments sufficiently before the advent of the blessed Eid al-Fitr.

His Highness exchanged conversations with Red Crescent officials about the positive impact that the Authority’s initiatives have on enhancing aspects of solidarity and compassion among members of society. His Highness praised the role of volunteers in supporting these initiatives and supervising their implementation in the various emirates of the country.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Court of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, and His Excellency Issa Hamad Bushhab, Advisor to His Highness the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, along with a number of officials.
