The arrival of the latest ship belonging to the Dubai World Ports to the Port of Jebel Ali

Dubai Ports Group “DPDDRED” celebrated the latest in addition to its fleet for marine services, with the reception of the “DB and Jebel Ali” ship on its first visit to the port of Jebel Ali, which bears its name.

The “DP and Jabal Ali” ship is a small savyer 5300 container ship without gear, characterized by advanced marine technologies designed to enhance efficiency in cargo handling, reduce operational costs, and contribute to enabling a more sustainable marine sector.

In celebration of the arrival of the ship, the senior management of Dubai Ports Group and the company “UNIFIDED”, which is affiliated with the marine services portfolio, hosted a special reception in Jebel Ali Port, stressing the pivotal role of the port in supporting global supply chains. The “DP and Jebel Ali” ship will join the Gulf UNIFIDED service lines.

The “DP and Jebel Ali” ship has a greater maneuvering capacity and access to smaller ports, including interior ports, thanks to its integrated design, which opens new opportunities to expand the supply chain networks.

It is expected that the ship will provide about 1700 metric tons of ship fuel annually, to contribute to reducing carbon emissions by 15% and 20% while moving on its paths.
