Ukraine is ready to buy 10 American Patriot systems

Ukrainian President Foludmir Zellinski said Thursday that his country is ready to buy “at least 10” Patriot air defense systems from the United States, a expensive system that was Kiev that demanded that it be obtained from its allies in the form of aid.
“Ukraine is ready to buy at least 10 Patriot systems, stressing that he discussed this hearing of US President Donald Trump during their conversation, and told him that America would work on this,” Zellinski said at a press conference.

A difficult situation

“So far I have no other information,” he added, noting that he is conducting “separate dialogues with the Europeans because it is very expensive.”
According to analysts, the cost of exporting the Patriot battery may reach 2.5 billion dollars, and the export of each missile costs up to 10 million dollars.
Zelinski asked Ukraine’s allies last Friday to provide 10 additional Patriot systems to help the country face the growing Russian air attacks.
“We really need it,” he said in a video letter addressed to the military leaders of the allied countries of Ukraine who were gathered in Brussels.
