The World Economic Forum chooses 3 Emirati women to membership of the “Young Leadership 2025” Council

The World Economic Forum announced the selection of the Minister of Community Empowerment, Shamma Bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, a member of the Federal National Council, Mira Sultan Al -Suwaidi, and the assistant professor of information technology at New York University Abu Dhabi, Taqi Waddah Al -Hinai, to the membership of the Young Global Leadership Council 2025.
The choice of three Emirati personalities – including two characters from the UAE government and the Federal National Council, in addition to an Emirati university cadre in the World Council that includes a group of young leadership figures who were able to achieve achievements and left a clear imprint in their fields – the great role played by young people in the UAE, especially in leadership positions, their pivotal role in decision -making, formulating visions and strategies supporting the comprehensive development process The sustainable in various sectors, and the high status of the state in international circles.
This step is also a fruit of the constant rational leadership in empowering Emirati women, and providing all the ingredients for them to participate strongly in various sectors.
A statement issued yesterday stated that the World Economy Forum chooses for its membership a group of the most prominent young international leaders, who are under the age of 40, and includes public figures, businessmen and social business leaders, leaders of academic, social, cultural and sports sectors, civil society and media institutions, and others.
Shamma Al Mazrouei held the position of Minister of Community Development in February 2023, before her name was changed to the Ministry of Community Empowerment in 2024, and she assumed the position of Minister of State for Youth Affairs in February 2016, as she worked in one of the sovereign wealth funds in Abu Dhabi, in addition to her work as a public policy analyst within the UAE mission of the United Nations, and worked as a policy analyst at the Cabinet Presidency Office, and a research analyst at the State Embassy in Washington, A researcher in the field of education policies at the “empowerment” of the Executive Affairs Authority.
Al Mazrouei obtained a master’s degree in public policies with honors from Oxford University in the United Kingdom in 2015, as was the first student from the UAE to win the Rhodes Grant for Young Leaders in Government Work, and within the best students at the time, and also obtained a Bachelor’s degree in the economy with higher honors as the best 5% of New York University students for the year 2014.
In turn, Mira Al -Suwaidi is a member of a representative of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the Federal National Council, and works as an observer and member of the Parliamentary Division Group, in addition to the position of head of the sovereign partnerships department in Mubadala Investment Company, and since joining Mubadala in 2007 she held a number of senior positions within the company.
Al -Suwaidi played a major role in establishing “Hub71”, the vital global technology system that contributed to enhancing the position of Abu Dhabi as the headquarters of the next generation of startups and technology companies, and currently holds the membership of the Board of Directors in the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, “Midshens” and Al -Mariya Community Bank, and a consultant to the Vice President of New York University Abu Dhabi, and Al -Suwaidi holds a master’s degree in public affairs from the Institute of Political Science In France, a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a privilege with honors from the American University of Dubai.
For its part, Taqi Al -Hinai works in the field of interaction between man and the computer machine, and the development of systems that measure the subjective elements of human experience, such as the characteristics of a group of people that make up a successful team, and the elements that make the idea of what achieves success in the market, and how the public defines individual competence from a mere personal image, which is an engineer, a scientist and a researcher whose work was presented in major global leaflets. Al -Hinai won the “Mit Technology Review” for the 10 best innovators under the age of 35 in the Middle East and North Africa in 2018, and the student’s medal on the category of graduate studies at the fifth session of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Prize for Distinguished Government Performance in 2019.
A prominent presence of young Emirati leaders
Young Emirati leaders continued their prominent presence in the World Economic Forum, which was announced in 2004 Professor Klaus Schwab, founder of the Economic Forum, and actually started in 2005, where new names are chosen annually for membership of the Council that includes members of the most distinguished youth around the world, in the areas of government work, business sectors, technology and society, working together to draw the features of a better future for the world.
