Rabat, April 19 / WAM / The “Al -Khrakarif new vision” exhibition, organized by the UAE Council of Youngs, continues its successes since its inception in 2019 at the Italian Bologna Books Exhibition, up to the sixth edition at the Rabat International Book Fair 2025; Where the Emirate of Sharjah is a guest of honor to its current session, by celebrating heritage and promoting dialogue of cultures and exchanging ideas by combining artists from two different cultures and calling each of them to re -imagine popular stories of the culture of the other, which represents an affirmation of the common values that bring people and civilizations.
The previous copies of the exhibition that were held in Russia, South Korea, Mexico and Greece contributed to spreading the Emirati folklore and heritage tales between different cultures and in exchange for Emirati artists and painters provided the opportunity to discover the heritage of other peoples and re -imagine their popular stories in order to achieve more communication between peoples and cultures through literature and art.
His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al -Muslim, President of the Sharjah Institute of Heritage, said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” after the opening of the sixth session of the exhibition yesterday at the National Library in the Kingdom of Morocco, to the great success achieved by the copies of the exhibition “Al -Khrakarif new vision”, explaining that his idea is to draw superstitious creatures in a different way and a vision that suits every society, its customs and traditions; To reach a common point between cultures and find a bridge for rapprochement between peoples and generations to accept the idea of the other, explaining that the idea of fees is more attractive and established in mind compared to other identification means.
For her part, Marwa Al -Aqroubi, President of the UAE Council of Books of Advisors, said that the exhibition, which lasts for a full month, witnesses the participation of 5 Emirati artists and the same from Morocco. The Emirati plastic painter, Reem Ahmed, said that her participating work in the exhibition “Kharrav with a new vision” is inspired by a legendary license from the Moroccan heritage, which is “Aisha Kandisha”, but with a vision that carries a mark of Emirati culture; Through this work, I tried to re -present this character as a symbol of female power and mystery, with the addition of visual Emirati elements such as gold, shila and the Affiliator while keeping the Moroccan component.
For her part, Moroccan actress Lamia Hamidot explained that her work was titled “Ready of Raqs”, which is a legendary cannon in Sharjah, which is celebrated in the Emirati folk tales; His name has gained from his vibration or dance violently when it was launched, which is a scene that was dazzling everyone who watches him so that he believes that he is haunted by harvesting and refuses to move unless he is entertained with music and singing, noting that “harvesting of dance” is not just a cannon but a testimony of the power of telling stories, it integrates between reality and imagination to build a legend that still inspires generations, confirming that her experience with the exhibition added to the exhibition. It gained knowledge of Emirati culture and Emirati artists.
