"Emirati publishers" Explore ways to enhance the Arab publishing process in "Rabat International Book"

Rabat, April 19 / WAM / The Emirati Publishers Association participates in the thirtieth session of the Rabat International Publishing and Book Fair, which started in the Moroccan capital on April 17, and Sharjah is a guest of honor.
The association’s participation comes within the framework of its continuous efforts to expand the presence of the Emirati book on international platforms and enhance the opportunities for cooperation with publishing makers in the Arab world, based on its mission in supporting the Emirati book industry and opening new horizons for publishers to enhance cultural exchange and extend bridges of cooperation with their counterparts in Morocco and the world.
The Rabat International Publishing and Book Fair, which is organized annually by the Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, is one of the most prominent literary events in the region. This year, Sharjah is honored as a guest of honor to confirm the close cultural ties between the UAE and Morocco and a continuation of the mutual appreciation that was evident in hosting Morocco as a guest of honor at the Sharjah International Book Fair 2024.
The delegation of the Emirati publishers participating in the exhibition includes the publisher Amira Bou Kadra, the partner institution of Dar Ghaf Publishing, and Dr. Abdullah Al -Sharhan, the founder of the partner and creative director of Dar Ajyal for publication.
The attendance of Emirati publishers in the exhibition embodies their keenness to explore new horizons to cooperate with regional and international publishers and introduce their publications that reflect diversity and innovation in the Emirati publishing scene.
His Excellency Rashid Al -Kous, Executive Director of the Emirati Publishers Association, expressed his pride in this participation, expressing his deep thanks to the role of the role of Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, the founder and honorary president of the Emirati Publishers Association for its continuous support for the Emirati publishing industry and its pioneering role in enhancing the position of the Emirati book on the international scene.
He said that participation in the Rabat International Publishing and Writing Exhibition represents an affirmation of the association’s commitment to support Emirati publishers and open new windows for cultural dialogue and exchange experiences with partners in Morocco and the Arab world, especially with Sharjah’s choice of honor of this year, which is a tribute that reflects the leadership role of the emirate as a global cultural center.
He added that the exhibition represents a strategic platform for exchanging experiences and discussing challenges and opportunities in the publishing industry, expressing the aspiration of tear to enrich the cultural dialogue and support sustainability efforts for independent publishers in a way that contributes to developing the Arab publishing sector as a whole.
Al -Kous stressed the importance of converting such posts into sustainable platforms to expand the scope of the Emirati cultural influence, and said that the Emirati Publishers Association is keen that its participation in international forums be real platforms for cultural communication and the display of the richness of the creative scene in the Emirates.
The delegation of Emirati publishers will participate in a discussion session within the exhibition’s activities, run by His Excellency Rashid Al -Kous, with the participation of Amira Bou Kadra, Dr. Abdullah Al -Sharhan, Tariq Al -Sulayki, President of the Moroccan Publishers Association, and Al -Nahaba Safaa Wali, from the Fanik Publishing House in Casablanca.
The session will address three main axes that include ways to enhance the distribution of books in the region, the mechanisms of pricing books and the sustainability of independent publishers, and the role of government initiatives in supporting local writers and developing industry.
