President Sisi confirms Egypt’s solidarity with Jordan in the face of terrorism

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi stressed his country’s full solidarity with Jordan and its absolute support in facing all forms of terrorism and extremist groups that target the security and stability of Jordan, stressing the importance of joint cooperation to achieve the aspirations of peoples towards a safe and stable life.
This came during a phone call made today by the Egyptian President with the Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al -Hussein.
Ambassador Mohamed El -Shennawi, spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency, explained that communication dealt with the current conditions in Palestine, where efforts were discussed to a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ensure the arrival of humanitarian aid..
The two leaders also discussed developments in the West Bank, and confirmed their categorical rejection of any attempts to displace the Palestinians from their lands, stressing that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital represents the only guarantee to achieve permanent peace and stability in the Middle East region.
