4.36 billion dirhams, the value of Dubai Islamic’s charitable programs during the year 2025

The charitable work sector at the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai recorded exceptional performance during the year 2025, after total donations reached more than 4.36 billion dirhams, which was reflected in the volume of charitable expenditures directed to sectors of societal priority.
Donations contributed to the implementation of development initiatives and programs whose total spending exceeded 178 million dirhams, including the sectors of health, education, social affairs, housing, and alleviating distress within an institutional model focused on maximizing impact and its sustainability.
The year 2025 marked a turning point in the path of charitable work, as it moved from quantitative growth in the volume of donations to qualitative growth in their direction.
The jump in donations enabled the expansion of the scope of sustainable strategic initiatives and increased the number of beneficiaries to reach more than 227,000 beneficiaries compared to 2024, which focused on building the organizational base and expanding giving channels.
The results of 2025 were translated into practice through sustainable strategic initiatives that achieved full completion rates or exceeded the targets, including the “Beyti” initiative and the dialysis center, which achieved the target by providing 40 beds, and the “Your Donation is Life” initiative, which achieved a 100 percent completion rate, in addition to the “Yak Al Awn” initiative, which exceeded the target by 194 percent and benefited more than 1,543 cases, in addition to supporting qualitative therapeutic and humanitarian initiatives, the most prominent of which are kidney transplantation initiatives, which reflects the efficiency of directing donations towards community needs. Real.
At the level of Emiratization, the sector continued during 2025 to enhance the sustainability of national human capital in charitable work, bringing the Emiratization rate to 51 percent, supported by service partnerships amounting to 12 partnerships that contributed to raising the efficiency of the institutional performance of charitable societies and linking national human resources with tangible societal impact paths.
Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of the Department, confirmed that the results of the charitable work sector for the year 2025 represent a qualitative and strategic shift in the path of charitable work, during which the Department moved from focusing on the volume of donations to the quality of their direction and maximizing its societal impact and sustainability.
He explained that these results reflect the maturity of the institutional system for charitable work in Dubai and its ability to transform giving into long-term development solutions thanks to the support of the wise leadership and its sound guidance.
For his part, Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector at the Department, Mohammed Musabih Dhahi, said that what was achieved during the year 2025 embodies the transition of charitable work in Dubai to a more mature and influential stage based on building a sustainable system capable of doubling the social impact.
