المملكة: The completion of 42% of the Wadi Al -Laith Dam .. an inspection tour of the smuggling of Mecca and Al -Baha

In the context of efforts to enhance the efficiency of water infrastructure projects and access to the level of completion in the field, the head of the General Organization for Irrigation, Eng. Mohamed Abu Haid, conducted an inspection field tour that included a number of vital dam projects in the areas of Makkah and Al -Baha.
The Wadi Al -Laith Dam project was visited in Makkah Al -Mukarramah Region, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture for Water Affairs, Dr. Abdulaziz Al -Shaibani, participated in the visit, to see the progress of business and the percentage of progress in implementation, which amounted to 42 % according to the approved timetable.
During the tour, the project’s executive team presented a comprehensive presentation on the project components, and explained the most prominent technical and logistical challenges, pointing to the efforts made to overcome it to ensure the completion of the project on its specified date by mid -2028.

The project to complete the Arda Dam

On the other hand, the head of the Foundation inspected the project to complete the Arada Dam in Al -Baha region, and was briefed on the scale of the current civil, mechanical and electrical works that are expected to be completed in the project.
The engineer Abu Haid stressed during the visit the importance of adhering to technical standards to achieve the environmental and water goals of the project, stressing his role in protecting lives and property and enhancing water security.
These tours come within the direction of the General Irrigation Corporation towards developing the water resources management system, supporting sustainability strategies in the water sector, in line with the national strategic targets, follow -up to the performance of projects that are being implemented, raise their efficiency and stand on any challenges facing the completion and treatment of these projects.
