Words Foundation" Its humanitarian message to Morocco is transmitted with 600 books for children

Rabat, April 20 / WAM / The “Kalimat Foundation” organized in conjunction with the activities of the 30th session of the International Publishing and Book Fair in Rabat, a series of cultural initiatives and activities targeting the support of children and adolescents in a number of Moroccan cities and enhancing the presence of a culture of reading in educational and social environments. For children in Arabic, on schools and associations, along with 200 books for the winners of the “Reading Network in Morocco.

The Foundation crowned its program in the Kingdom of Morocco with an official visit to the “Moulay Ali Sharif Elementary School” in the city of Rabat, which was headed by Sheikha Badour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Foundation and President of “Words Foundation”, where Mustafa Burda received it the headmaster of the school, who gave her an explanation of what the school provided to the students and accompanied it on a tour of the school’s classes with the guests of the delegation members.

Sheikha Badour Al Qasimi presented during the visit an interactive reading session for the students, which included an inspiring narration of her book “Beit Al -Hikma” on the history of Arab knowledge and civilization, and to dedicate the participating children a copy of the book. The visit also included dedicating a mobile library containing 100 books for children in Arabic under the umbrella of the “Tannah Library” initiative.

The event witnessed the presence of a number of prominent Emirati and Moroccan personalities in the cultural and educational field, including members of the Board of Directors of the “Words Foundation and Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi, head of the Department of Government Relations in Sharjah, His Excellency Ahmed bin Rakad Al -Amiri, CEO of the Sharjah Book Authority, along with Abdullah Al -Saghir, Regional Director of the Ministry of National Education in Sala, Rashida Raqi, President of the Reading Network in Morocco, and Yasmine Al -Kwaikbi, representative of the Moroccan Council for the Books Educational officials and representatives of partner institutions.

Sheikha Badour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Foundation and Chairman of Kalimat Foundation, said: We not only provide children with books, but we give them tools for a dream and a window overlooking a wider world of possibilities. In the brotherly Morocco, we carried the belief of Sharjah that every child possesses rights that cannot be waived reading, questioning and exploring, and these cultural initiatives embody our commitment to the Words Foundation to build societies that believe that investing in the child is an investment in the future.

The Foundation’s initiatives included dedicating mobile libraries and field visits to schools and associations, organizing reading sessions and interactive activities with the support of the revenues of selling a group of products for cooperation with Emirati artist Mohamed Al Mansoori, the first ambassador of the “Kalimat” Foundation, where part of the revenues was allocated to finance the “Drawing Library” initiative in the Kingdom of Morocco.

The Foundation’s activities extended to include a field visit to the “Asas” association in the city of Ifrane, which witnessed a dedication of a mobile library that includes 100 books for children to the association in addition to organizing a reading session of a book “famous by chance” from the publications of “a group of words” followed by a handicraft workshop that included creative fashion designs to embody the characters of the story. The Foundation also donated the restoration and renewal of the association’s library along with providing it with ten tablets Enriching the educational environment with digital tools that support interaction and sustainable learning.

The visit to the Kingdom of Morocco included dedicating two mobile libraries, the first for the “Waglaj Sultan Schools” group and the second for the “Development Schools” group, in addition to gifting 200 books for children who won the “Reading Network in Morocco” awards, one of the most leading initiatives in the field of consolidating reading and enhancing individual and collective energies and capabilities in appreciation of their efforts and motivating them to expand their knowledge and culture and support for their passion for reading.

Rachida Raqi expressed her great appreciation for this initiative, saying what was presented by the Words Foundation in Morocco that goes beyond the idea of ​​donating books to building a living relationship between the child and knowledge through interactive programs that improve the quality of the reading experience and links reading with daily life.

This participation embodies an extension of the “Words Foundation” strategy in promoting the arrival of deprived children, whether due to economic or geographical conditions or humanitarian crises to the sources of knowledge, as the Foundation – since its establishment – has succeeded in distributing thousands of books and implementing qualitative initiatives in dozens of countries, putting reading at the heart of its development and humanitarian project.
