Sharjah Heritage Days activities kick off in Al Hamriyah
Sharjah, February 7, 2017 – The activities of the Sharjah Heritage Days in Hamriyah, in its 23rd edition, were launched yesterday evening, in its 23rd edition, which is held this year under the slogan “The Glow of Authenticity.” It continues for 3 days in the Heritage Village and aims to connect the past with the present and employ heritage tools to achieve more achievements in the future.
The events included many entertainment, heritage and popular activities and programmes, in addition to competitions and sections for productive families and popular foods, with the aim of strengthening the connection between children and young people with their cultural heritage and introducing them to the popular heritage that the UAE abounds with.
Visitors and guests of the Heritage Festival in Hamriyah followed the workshops related to popular heritage, and were informed of the activities taking place throughout the Heritage Village, the most prominent of which were the interactive theatrical performances, in addition to a review of film material showing the stages of development of the activities of the Sharjah Heritage Days, poetry poems, and school performances from the Castle School, among others.
