Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation for Small and Medium Enterprises Development continues to strengthen the sector and expand its prosperity opportunities

Dubai, April 20 / WAM / The Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, one of the institutions of the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, has achieved distinguished achievements in the Entrepreneurship Sector in the emirate during the year 2024.
The Foundation contributed to enabling more small and medium -sized companies, motivating Emirati entrepreneurs to establish new projects and expand the existing ones, in line with the targets of Dubai Economic Agenda D33 to double the size of the city’s economy by 2033 and enhance its global position and a leading and entertainment destination.
The Foundation continues its relentless efforts to ensure the continuity of the growth of the Emirati entrepreneurial sector, by providing a comprehensive set of services and opportunities, which enhances its role in accelerating the pace of economic transformation.
In 2024, the Foundation supported the establishment of 3461 new Emirati companies, an increase of 524 companies compared to the year 2023, bringing the total number of small and medium -sized companies benefiting from their support to 19904 companies since 2002.
Consulting services were provided for 3075 entrepreneurs who obtained guidance and guidance services from experts, which is more than twice the number of beneficiaries in 2023, raising the total number of beneficiaries of these services to 53206 business pioneers since 2002.
In an adherence to the goals of the “General Society” in the UAE, which focuses on launching capabilities and capabilities for individuals, families and institutions by developing skills, supporting talents, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, the Foundation continues to support local companies in all stages of its development, which allows them to improve its skills, achieve prosperity in the local market and expand in global markets.
In line with its mission aimed at enhancing the excellence of startups in operational operations, the Foundation provided training programs and awareness -raising sessions for 5498 entrepreneurs in 2024, compared to 1627 in 2023, which confirms its commitment to providing entrepreneurs with the knowledge necessary to achieve long -term success.
The Foundation expanded the scope of support for commercial promotion and digital marketing to 531 startups in 2024, compared to 363 in 2023, and contributed to enhancing the presence on the electronic platforms of 3989 entrepreneurs so far.
The “Mohammed bin Rashid Fund for Support for Small and Medium Enterprises”, the financing arm of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Foundation for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, played a pivotal role in empowering entrepreneurs, by providing financial support and guidance and guidance services. The fund funded 44 projects in 2024 with a total value of 35.17 million dirhams, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 168 projects with a total value of 137 million dirhams since the establishment of the fund in 2015.
The “Hamdan Center for Creativity and Innovation”, one of the initiatives of the Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, provided support for 66 entrepreneurs in 2024, compared to 29 in 2023, bringing the total number of startups benefiting from support to 826, by increasing opportunities to reach the market, expanding business and providing financial guidance.

The new generation of entrepreneurs in various sectors, as we work to provide them with opportunities to enhance their presence in the market, as well as support Emirati companies and allow them to expand globally by providing financial and technical guidance services.
He added that our achievements in 2024 reflect the impact of our comprehensive strategy in supporting projects, as we allow Emirati entrepreneurs and talents to expand their business network and push economic growth in the emirate through their integration into the system of small and medium -sized companies, based on our firm commitment to establishing a vital business environment that benefits companies and society in general, and we will continue to work to document cooperation with the public and private sectors to confirm the economic competitiveness capacity Dubai, and strengthening its position as a leading global destination for business, investment and innovation.
During 2024, the Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation for Small and Medium Enterprises Development participated in the first session of the Hatta Agricultural Festival in February 2024, and provided a group of entrepreneurs and small and medium -sized businesses from the agricultural sector in Hatta, and organized a workshop to introduce its services and to inspire small and medium companies and motivate them to convert their ideas into implementable projects.
The Foundation also implemented through the Mohammed bin Rashid Fund to support small and medium enterprises, an initiative to support small and medium -sized companies in the UAE, whose work was damaged by the weather situation in April 2024, by providing financial support, and grace periods of up to six months, and postponing the payment of loans to the owners of the Emirati companies entitled to support.

The global village, within the framework of the long -term partnership between the Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation for Small and Medium Enterprises Development and the Global Village, the leading family destination in the region for culture, shopping and entertainment, the Foundation has allocated 30 booths for Emirati entrepreneurs within the activities of the 28th Season 28, and this joint initiative supported more than 730 projects since 2005.
A group of members of the Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation for Small and Medium Enterprises Development participated in the “Expand North Star 2024” exhibition, the largest event in the world for startups and investors, within a group of sectors, including artificial intelligence in the tourism field, the Internet of Things, education technology, the insurance market, and cybersecurity.
The Hamdan Center for Creativity and Innovation sponsored the Emirati 2024 exhibition, which focused on supporting Emirati entrepreneurs and innovative companies, and provided an ideal platform for 50 emerging Emirati companies to display their advanced commercial ideas and innovations, communicate with investors, and enhance their presence in the market.
The Foundation supported 10 Emirati companies at the Gulfood Exhibition 2024, as part of its ongoing efforts aimed at supporting startups in the food and beverage sector, and the Foundation has so far supported more than 120 of its members at the Gulfood Food annual exhibition.
And the Foundation, in cooperation with the “Start” Center, launched a laboratory laboratory program for ideas 2024, with the aim of providing Emirati talents with the skills of entrepreneurship allocated to the aviation, travel and tourism sectors, and the participants in the program had the opportunity to participate in workshops under the supervision of sector experts on design thinking topics, market analysis, and the development of the business model.
The Foundation launched, in cooperation with the Business Incubator, “Bedias”, the Emirati technology pioneers program “Emirati Tech” in 2024 to empower Emirati entrepreneurs in the technology sector, and the program supported 20 Emirati technological technologies specialized in developing sustainable solutions to face social, environmental and economic challenges, which contributed to achieving the goals of the UAE’s vision of climate neutrality, and the targets of economic diversity in Dubai.
The Foundation’s plans for 2025 include the expansion of training programs, improving digital tools for startups, and holding new partnerships to upgrade the level of Emirati companies, and the Foundation is working to increase the level of their impact during the current year and beyond, by enhancing cooperation with the concerned authorities and benefiting from advanced technologies, as well as supervising an initiative dedicated to e -commerce platforms to support emerging companies from small and medium enterprises in Dubai.
