Conference and exhibition activities launch "Gotic 2025" In Dubai
Dubai, April 21 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Supreme Energy Council in Dubai, opened today the activities of the seventh session of the Conference and Exhibition of Gas and Oil Technology “Gotic 2025”, which is held under his auspices at the Dubai World Trade Center, with a high international participation of the leaders of the energy sector, experts and innovators, under the slogan “Enabling the future of energy through digital transformation, innovation and sustainability.”
His Highness was accompanied at the opening, His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice -Chairman of the Supreme Energy Council in Dubai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Dragon Oil”.
“Goetic” is one of the most prominent specialized conferences in the oil and gas sector, as it is organized in partnership between the Association of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and Dragon Oil, and it is a global platform for exchanging experiences, and reviewing the latest technical solutions that contribute to the formation of a sustainable future for energy in light of the rapid global transformations.
His Excellency Saeed Mohamed Al Tayer said that the Gotic Gas and Oil Technology Conference and Exhibition translates the vision and directives of the rational leadership of the UAE in discovering the latest solutions and innovative technologies, and exchanging best practices to draw the features of the future of the oil and gas sector, with a focus on diversifying the energy system, and promoting digital transformation and sustainability to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2050.
His Excellency stressed that the UAE continues its successful career to keep pace with global changes and future trends towards more sustainable and clean energy sources.
The opening ceremony witnessed a wide presence of senior officials in the energy sector, ambassadors and consuls of countries in which “Dragon Oil” operates, including His Excellency Ahmed Al -Hay Al -Hamli, the UAE ambassador to Turkmenistan, along with high governmental delegations, and representatives of the participating companies and sponsors.
In his opening speech, His Excellency Eng. Ali Rashid Al -Jarwan, CEO of Dragon Oil and the honorary president of the Organizing Committee, stressed that the care and presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum for this event reflects the keenness of the rational leadership in the UAE to support the digital transformation in the energy sector, and to enhance Dubai’s position as a global center for knowledge and technology; He said: While we celebrate the twenty -fifth anniversary of the founding of “Dragon Ayel”, we find ourselves in a milestone in the energy sector march, the decisions that we make today will make the difference for future generations, noting that “Goetic 2025” is an ideal platform for exchanging visions and enhancing the culture of innovation, and accelerating the pace of digital transformation for a more sustainable and flexible energy future.
The first day of the conference witnessed the holding of the main opening session with the participation of a group of high -ranking speakers, and the media session was conducted by Ethana Treenor, founder and CEO of E Treanor Media, in which His Excellency Ahmed Butti Al -Muhairbi, Secretary -General of the Supreme Council of Energy in Dubai, and His Excellency Engineer Ali Rashid Al Jarwan, CEO of Dragon Oil, Salah Abdel Karim, CEO of the Egyptian Authority General Petroleum (EGPC), and Shannon behavior, general manager of Halliburton in the Middle East.
The speakers highlighted the most prominent future challenges facing the energy sector, stressing the importance of innovation, accelerating the adoption of digital technology, and strengthening international partnerships to ensure energy security and achieving sustainability.
The activities of the conference continue for a period of three days, where the second day witnesses the organization of a number of specialized technical sessions, interactive workshops in partnership with the Association of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), in addition to scientific and academic discussions on the university platform, and international dialogue sessions that include a group of specialists to review successful experiences in the areas of artificial intelligence, carbon emissions management, digital transformation applications in Energy sector.
