المملكة: The Minister of Hajj reviews in Oxford the Kingdom’s transformational vision to serve the guests of Rahman

The Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al -Rabiah, affirmed the firm commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect them – to provide a distinguished pilgrimage and Umrah experience, which combines faith, innovation and service.
He explained during his speech at the Oxford Center for Islamic Studies that the service of the guests of Rahman is not just a duty, but an honor and honest honesty, stressing that the Kingdom seeks to present a soft faith journey and full of dignity and spirituality.
He pointed out that the digital transformation does not come as a substitute for values, but rather a supporter of it, saying: “The technology must support our values, not to replace it, so everything we build must reflect our commitment to dignity, faith and the sanctity of the journey of every guest of the Most Merciful, as a request for the pleasure of God.”

Quality shift

He highlighted a number of pioneering initiatives that caused a qualitative shift in the service of the guests of Rahman, among them the electronic path in cooperation with more than 80 countries, and the “Nesc” platform available in 126 countries, which allows the guests of Rahman to manage their trips themselves without intermediaries, in addition to the smart cards that link the guest of Rahman with his personal and health information, and contribute to facilitating his movement and ensuring his safety.
He pointed to the adoption of artificial intelligence in the Grand Mosque to manage crowds and a rapid response to the emergency without affecting the place of the place, in addition to the “Nesc” application that provides more than 100 digital services in twenty languages, and contributed to issuing more than 13 million permits to visit the honorable kindergarten, up from 4 million in 2022 AD.
His Excellency reviewed the recent achievements, noting the Kingdom’s reception of more than 18.5 million pilgrims and pilgrims during the year 2024 AD, reflecting the fruits of investment in infrastructure and human innovation.
In a related context, His Excellency stressed the importance of preserving the Islamic heritage, indicating that the Kingdom has restored 55 Islamic and enriching sites in order to enhance visitors’ association with the authentic Islamic history of Makkah and Madinah.
For his part, the director of the Oxford Center for Islamic Studies, Dr. Farhan Nizami, praised these efforts, saying: “The integration of the kingdom between faith, history and advanced technical solutions places a global standard, and achieves an inspiring balance between traditions and innovation.”
The word delivered by His Excellency in Oxford embodied the leadership of the Kingdom in developing the experience of Hajj and Umrah on the basis of service, faith and modern technology.
