Committee "Federal National" The government policy is discussed on organizing the statistical sector

Abu Dhabi, April 25/ WAM/ The Financial, Economic and Industrial Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council, during its virtual meeting held by His Excellency Saeed Rashid Al -Abedi, Chairman of the Committee, discussed today, Friday, the subject of the government’s policy regarding the organization of the statistical sector and open data and the promotion of state competitiveness.
The committee adopted the main axes of the topic, which include policies and strategies to regulate the statistical sector and open data, and the legislation regulating the statistical sector and open data.
The meeting was attended by members of the committee, His Excellency Khaled Omar Al -Kharji, the committee’s decision, Dr. Tariq Hamid Al -Tayer, First Vice -President of the Council, Aisha Rashid Litem, Dr. Marwan Obaid Al -Muhairi, Mona Khalifa Hammad, Mira Sultan Al Suwaidi, members of the Federal National Council.
The committee explained in a request to discuss the issue, that the government is working to organize the statistical sector by working on an integrated national statistical system, which enhances the ability to collect and analyze data accurately and efficiently, and this system aims to support efforts aimed at setting policies based on accurate and comprehensive data, as well as raising the competitiveness of the state in various sectors, leading to achieving advanced centers in international reports and indicators, and contributing to achieving sustainable development goals.
In this context, the government coordinates with the competent authorities to ensure the integration of efforts and improve performance, and this includes providing open data, improving the global competitiveness indicators of the state by providing accurate and reliable data and statistics that contribute to supporting the decision -making process, enhancing transparency, and raising the efficiency of government performance in line with the aspirations of the state in global leadership.
