Netanyahu will not make me a war with Iran and ready to meet Khamenei

US President Donald Trump said that he would not be dragged into a war with Iran because of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, expressing his openness to the meeting of Iran’s guide, Ali Khamenei or President Masoud Bouchakian..
In an interview with the American magazine “Time”, Trump said that Netanyahu could lead Israel towards a military confrontation with Iran if diplomatic efforts to prevent Tehran fail from having nuclear weapons..
Trump stressed that he does not believe that the United States will lead to this conflict without its will, but he stressed that if diplomatic endeavors stumbled, he is ready to take the step himself and lead the confrontation, saying: “If an agreement is not reached – I will join with pleasure. I will lead it.“.
He added: “I hope we can reach a solution without resorting to military action, but we may have to do so if Iran continues to seek nuclear endeavors“.
Trump denied the reports that he had prevented Israel from carrying out a military strike against Iranian nuclear sites during his presidency, saying: “This is not true. I did not stop them, but I did not make it easier for them to it.“.
When asked whether Netanyahu might drag the United States into a war, Trump replied: “By the way, he may enter into a war. But we will not be dragged against it against our will.” He added: “But, if we do not conclude an agreement with Iran, I may participate voluntarily. Rather, I may lead the ranks“.
He pointed to his openness to direct dialogue with Iran, including a possible meeting with the guide. When asked if he was ready to meet with Khamenei, he answered one word: “Certainly“.
