"Abu Dhabi International Book" Tomorrow is launched with an integrated cultural program

Abu Dhabi, April 25 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, whose 34th session will start tomorrow under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, will be an integrated cultural program during which he hosts a group of writers, thinkers, Arab and foreign creators, distributed throughout the exhibition days from April 26 to May 5, 2025, at the Abu Dhabi Center.

The center seeks through the professional program of the exhibition, which is held this year under the slogan “Knowledge Society … Knowledge of Society”, to enhance cultural and knowledge exchange between the countries of the world, in a way that contributes to preserving the Arab linguistic and cultural heritage, and seeing the cultures and civilizations of the world, within the framework of the center’s commitment to its pioneering role in spreading the Arabic language, and devoting the strategic vision of the UAE in tolerance and human brotherhood, as the cultural program covers several areas that meet The needs of the public from different segments of society.

The program is presented this year several branches: the corridors of knowledge, the Poetry Council, the World Book Program, the Books signatures, and a podcast from Abu Dhabi, while each branch emanates from various activities that target those wishing to increase from the seas of culture, arts, knowledge sciences and folklore through lectures, poetry evenings, workshops and intellectual sessions.

The exhibition dedicates a session to the audience gathering with the author of the book “The Surviving Squad: The Faculty of Entrepreneurship”, Dr. Muhammad Bishary- Secretary General of the World Council of Muslim Communities, in an open dialogue to discuss the heritage concepts that affected the lives of Muslims throughout the ages.

The session “Fifty Marks in the Novel of the 21st Arabic Century” includes a bouquet of writers and intellectuals: His Excellency Saeed Hamdan Al Tunaiji- Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center. And Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Fadl Badran- the poet and literary critic. And Dr. Haitham Al-Hajj Ali- Professor of Modern Arabic Literature. To review a selection of the 50 most prominent Arabic novels that formed the features of Arabic literature in the 21st century.

Under the title “I saw what the sleeper sees: the interpretations of dreams in the Arab heritage”, the audience meets Dr. Bilal Al-Afeh Lee- the researcher in ancient Arabic literature, and the writer Ali Al-Abdan to listen to the role of interpretation of dreams in forming science and knowledge in Islamic and Arab civilization.

The center for the exhibition session this year chose the encyclopedic world “Ibn Sina” a pivotal figure to celebrate its knowledge achievement that he presented to humanity as one of the most important doctors, and the primary reference for many philosophical sciences, and the first sessions will be held under the title “Ibn Sina is a doctor: the journey of law in medicine to the treatments of the times.”

A second session titled “Ibn Sina in the East and West: The Middle Ages of the Middle Ages”, to Ibn Sina, which formed a cognitive bridge between the civilizations of the East and West.

The third session bears the title “Ibn Sina’s philosophy: a legacy that contemplates us and visions of our dialogue”, and the speakers focus in it; On the legacy of the philosopher and thinker Ibn Sina, and its effect on human thought.

From the central character to the book of the world, which magiced East and West “One Thousand and One Nights”, the program allocates a dialogue session under the title “A Thousand and One Nights Journey in International Languages” in which a group of researchers reviews the journey of a thousand and one nights of the first manuscripts to the translations that captured the imagination of the orientalists.
