The comedian Lulu Roman, who was famous for her role in the famous American comedy series “He is Hao”, died at the age of 78. Her son, Damon Roman, confirmed the news of her death to the Hollywood newspaper Riborter, where she died on Wednesday, April 23 in the city of Bellingham, Washington, in which she had lived with her son a year ago.

Lulu, whose real name was Perth Louise Hubble, was born in 1942 in an unmarried mothers house, and was raised in an orphanage in Dallas. Despite the health challenges she faced since her childhood, including thyroid and addiction problems, it became one of the most prominent comedies on American television, and has played a pivotal role in the “Hey Hao” program that started in 1969 and continued until 1992.

Roman was famous for presenting her character, who was called the “fat girl” in the program, and despite the bullying she was exposed to because of her extra weight, she challenged these difficulties and became an inspiration for many. Later, she lost more than 90 kilograms, and she returned to appearing on TV programs and films after leaving “She Haw” due to addiction problems.

Her career continued on television, as she appeared in other programs such as “Love Board” and “Lams of Angel”, in addition to her participation in the movie “Corky” in 1972. She also published her notes in 2019.

Her former business manager, Bin Lauro, said: “Lulu has faced many ordeals, but she has been a source of happiness and inspiration for others.” (Arm News)
