Dubai will be the destination of the makers of the future of artificial intelligence

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, launched the Dubai Academy of Artificial Intelligence, within the work of “Dubai AI Week”, with the aim of rehabilitating 10,000 young leaders and pioneers with the most important skills in this field, and providing high -level educational and training programs in the field of artificial intelligence, in cooperation with prestigious academic and training institutions.
His Highness said: «Dubai will be the destination for everyone who wants to be at the forefront of the makers of the future of artificial intelligence. We continue to support qualitative initiatives to introduce its promising applications, the opportunities for its employment to accelerate economic growth, and to enhance the performance of various governmental, community and educational sectors.
The launch of the Academy and Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Action Technologies were attended by distance, Deputy Managing Director of the Dubai Future Foundation, Omar bin Sultan Al -Ulama, and CEO of the Dubai International Financial Center Authority, Aref Amiri.
The launch of the Dubai AI is a pivotal step towards doubling the Dubai economy and increasing the contribution of artificial intelligence to the gross domestic product of the emirate and the UAE in general.
The Academy, which will be supervised by “Campus Dubai for AI” – which is based in “Inoven Hib” at the Dubai International Financial Center, will focus on the support of the Dubai International Financial Center Academy – on the spread of knowledge and education in the field of artificial intelligence, and expanding the base of talent capable of adopting and applying artificial intelligence technologies in various future sectors.
It will be offered training courses and certificates that have been designed specifically to meet the goals and requirements of skills for government and private sector employees, such as the ability to understand artificial intelligence, determine its use and implementation cases, and employ it as a strategic capacity within institutions, taking into account the moral aspects of its use.
The Academy aims to support the growth of Dubai’s economy, by doubling the contribution of artificial intelligence in the gross domestic product, and the rehabilitation of competencies and talents capable of accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies and their application in various sectors. The Academy will contribute to the graduation of a group of specialized competencies in artificial intelligence, with the impact of accelerating the pace of adopting its applications across various sectors, thus strengthening Dubai’s position as a leading global center for artificial intelligence and innovation, and technological companies.
