By decision of Hamdan bin Mohammed… the formation of the supervisory committee for Rashid Villages, headed by Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, issued Resolution No. (1) of 2026 to form the “Supervisory Committee for Rashid Villages” headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The committee’s membership includes, according to what was stated in the decision, the following: the Director General of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai, as Vice-Chairman, the Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai, the Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation, the CEO and Managing Director of the Dar Al Ber Society, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al Jalila Foundation for Supporting Education and Research in the Medical Fields, and the Director of the Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as Secretary of the Committee. The Committee’s rapporteur is appointed by a decision of its Chairman.

According to the decision, the committee is responsible for general supervision of the project, approving plans, following up on implementation, unifying efforts between government agencies and participating institutions, approving reports, developing the necessary general policies and regulatory frameworks, approving initiatives and executive programmes, following up on challenges and obstacles and making the necessary decisions to address them, supervising governance and risk management mechanisms and ensuring the optimal use of resources.

The Chairman of the Committee shall issue the necessary directives and decisions to implement the provisions of this decision, and it shall be effective from the date of its issuance.

It is noteworthy that “Rashid Villages” is a charitable initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in the year 2025, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the passing of the late, God Almighty, Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, may God have mercy on him, and to commemorate his legacy in humanitarian work through the establishment of model villages that provide the necessities of a decent life for needy families, including housing and education. Health care and social services.
