A Napoli fan is stabbed by his wife due to a decision by the “VAR”

A 40-year-old Napoli fan was stabbed by his wife in a strange incident following his team’s loss to Atalanta Bergamo (2-1) on Sunday in the twenty-sixth round of the Italian League.

The incident occurred after the fan uttered offensive phrases in protest against the VAR’s decision to cancel a penalty kick, which led his wife to believe that she was the one who intended those insults.

He continued: “The dispute escalated quickly, so the wife first threw the scissors, then grabbed a kitchen knife.”

It was reported that the Napoli fan was stabbed in the side, and several knives were later found at the scene.

She said: “The police intervened and arrested the woman, while the victim is now in the hospital, but his condition is stable… and the woman is in detention.”
