The start of the 7 UAE conference for blood and tumors in children in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, April 26/WAM/The activities of the seventh Emirates and tumor conference in children were launched in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of more than 700 specialists from doctors, researchers and workers in the medical sector from Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

The two -day conference is a leading platform for exchanging experiences and enhancing cooperation in the areas of diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancer and blood disorders in line with the accelerated progress achieved by the UAE in the subtleties of pediatrics.

The conference focuses on two main tracks, blood and tumors, in addition to public pediatrics, and deals with the latest clinical practices, research developments and emerging treatments in this field.

The conference aims to raise the level of awareness of early detection of children’s cancer and provide guidance support to doctors about transferring cases to timely professionals.

Specialists from 22 countries, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, Syria, the Sultanate of Oman, the United States of America, India, Spain, and Uganda, and its scientific program include eight major sessions during which 60 specialized seminars are presented with the participation of 87 speakers in addition to displaying 40 research posters from 13 countries, which enhances the conference’s status as a prominent educational and scientific platform.

Participants on the first day reviewed important topics such as the role of inheritance in tumors, blood diseases, acute blood cancers, brain tumors, and rare nortallastoma disease and “sickle cell anemia”. The latest treatment protocols were displayed for acute leukemia, which includes a new drug that raises the recovery rate to 96.

Experts discussed advanced strategies in surgical planning for the treatment of complex tumors in children.

Dr. Zine El Abidine Candy, head of the conference, Chairman of the Organizing and Scientific Committee, Consultant and Head of the Department of Hematology, Oncology and Orthopedic Development in Children in Burjeel Medical City, stressed in statements to “WAM” the urgent need to publish recent research and scientific studies that deal with malignant tumor patterns and the results of treating children’s cancer in the UAE in a way that enhances opportunities for early diagnosis and effective treatment.

He pointed to a recent study conducted by the medical team of children’s tumors at the Burjil Institute of Oncology in Abu Dhabi, which showed that the UAE follows the global protocols and standards adopted in the diagnosis and treatment of children’s cancer and is characterized by the speed of providing modern medicines as soon as they are adopted by the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which reflects the country’s superiority and leadership in the field of caring for children with cancer.

For her part, Dr. Laila Ali Issa Mohamed Al -Rayami, the participating head of the conference, a consultant of blood diseases and tumors at Tawam Hospital, confirmed that the consultations and partnerships concluded on the sidelines of the first day of the conference will contribute directly to improving clinical standards and expanding the scope of access to life -saving treatments in the region.

The most prominent international cancer hospitals, including the Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia, the University of Chicago University Hospital, Singinati Children’s Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital from the United States of America and other specialized international hospitals, enhances the conference’s position a pivotal platform for developing carcinogenic care for cancer at the region.
