Abu Dhabi, April 26 / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him”, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, opened the 34th session of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which is organized by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, during the period from April 26 to May 5, 2025, at the Denik Abu Dhabi Center, under the slogan “Society of Knowledge.”
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan toured the exhibition wings, and was seen on the most prominent modern publications of local and international publishing houses, which contribute to the advancement of the publishing and literature sector and enrich the global cultural scene. His Highness also listened to the opinions of publishers on the challenges and opportunities in the sector, in light of the accelerated digital transformations.
The exhibition for the version of this year chose the “Caribbean Culture” a guest of honor, the encyclopedic scientist Ibn Sina is a pivotal figure, and “One Thousand and One Nights”, the world’s writers.

The axis of “I am inspired” represents the cultural program of the exhibition, which organizes events in the fields of poetry, literature, arts, translation, and cultural discussions, in addition to holding discussion sessions, dialogues, workshops, and lectures that include a group of thinkers, writers, and creators in meetings that explore the various aspects of literature, arts, and thought.
The cultural program is characterized this year by launching the initiative of the Poets Council for the first time, which keeps pace with the audience’s passion for poetry and the rich word through previous experiences of the center, and includes specialized evenings for Nabati poetry and eloquent poetry, accompanied by music drawn from the poems and their rhythms, in addition to evenings during which Arab poets meet their counterparts from other cultures, in a transient creative interaction For borders.

The children’s and youth program is a priority in the activities of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, within the framework of a sustainable strategy that it adopts to enhance the love of the Arabic language and establish it in the minds and hearts of children, and enable them to express themselves, which supports their attachment to their cultural identity, based on the fact that children constitute the future of the cultural and civilizational state, and the true guarantor of the sustainability of its global cultural leadership.
The axis of “I learn” provides a charming educational experience for children and young adults that combine education and entertainment, and includes workshops and interactive activities that highlight the Arabic language in the pillars dedicated to children and young adults, namely the “Children’s Oasis”, and the “Alpha” corner within an attractive educational environment.
The “Explore” program for exhibitors and partners sheds light on the contributions of government partners through cultural activities, which enhances the ties between the world literary community.
