Canada .. 9 people were killed after a crowd was run over at a Festival in Vancouver

Nine people died when they ran over a car in the Filipino Festival in Vancouver in Western Canada, according to the police.
“So far, we can confirm the killing of nine people after a man with his car stormed a crowd of people at the Labo Labo Festival last night,” wrote Vancouver police on the social networking site X.
A 30 -year -old suspect was arrested after the accident that occurred on Saturday night, which resulted in the injury of several other people.

The police are trying to determine the cause of the suspect’s collision with the crowd, but it is “confident” that the incident is not “a terrorist act.”
The accident comes just two days before the voters in Canada went to the polling stations in the parliamentary elections tomorrow, Monday.
A radio station stated based on eyewitnesses that the man tried to escape from the scene of the accident on foot after driving his car through the crowd, but passers -by stopped him.

A police spokesman confirmed that “there is no longer any danger to the public,” and the mayor of Vancouver Ken Sim said he was shocking and sad because of the “horrific accident.”
Sim added: “All the affected people and the Philippine community in Vancouver during this difficult time are extremely extent,” Sim added.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said in a post on the social networking site X that he was “shocked when he heard about the horrific events at the Labo Labo Festival in Vancouver.”
