The Emirates Health Services Corporation revealed that the service of delivering medicines to senior citizens and people of determination, which it launched at the Fujairah Hospital and won the government bureaucracy to the exceptional initiative category, benefited about 21 thousand patients within eight months, from January to August 2024, and the service caused a qualitative shift in the experience of customers, and enabled them to obtain their medicine at home without the need to visit Hospital.

The Foundation explained to «Emirates Today» that the delivery service contributed to canceling the need to wait in the hospital pharmacy, by delivering medicines to the homes of patients directly, which led to reducing the number of steps to obtain medicines from seven to three steps only, and shorten the time of obtaining the service from three hours to 10 minutes, as well 20 thousand visits to the hospital annually, as a result of the proactive redesign of the customer’s journey.

She explained that the service reflects a significant impact on improving the quality of the lives of senior citizens and people of determination from patients with virtual clinics, who no longer need to bear the hardship of movement to obtain their medications, but rather reach them to their homes with comfort and ease, and the victory and honor comes with the government bureaucracy award for the exceptional initiative category, to confirm the pioneering role that the institution plays in providing a new model for smart health services And simplicity, which embodies the vision in promoting innovation, and achieving the highest standards of efficiency and quality in the medical services provided within its facilities.
