Abu Dhabi Cultural Summit starts with the participation of international leaders

Abu Dhabi, April 27 / WAM / The activities of the seventh edition of the Cultural Summit Abu Dhabi, the leading global cultural event that highlights the role of culture and creativity in forming societies and building a more humane future.

The summit is held in Manara Al Saadiyat during the period from 27 to 29 April, with the participation of a group of thinkers, artists, policy makers and innovators from all over the world.

This session is held under the slogan “Culture for Humanity and post -post”, where it raises fundamental questions about the role of culture in promoting human values, especially in light of a world witnessing accelerated transformations at the digital, geopolitical and social levels.

Participants will discuss for three days in rich dialogues and discussion sessions, the future of culture and its relationship to humanity, with a focus on how to overcome traditional thinking and adopt new methods that redraw the features of the present and the future.

The summit is witnessing the participation of a number of prominent figures, including Jenny Shipply, former New Zealand Prime Minister, Ivita Radichova, former Slovakia Prime Minister, Mo Jawdat, author and former CEO of Business at Google X, Jalin Lori, Director of the David Rockefeller Museum of Modern Art, Tim Marlowe, CEO and director of the Design Museum in London, and Thomas Heathrock, founder and creative director of Heathroick Studio, Maya Hoffman, President of the Loma Foundation, Hashem Sarkis, Dean of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Coleen Atood, famous fashion designer, Suzan Back Morris, Professor of Cultural Studies, William Sargent, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Freem Store Studio, Iyad Rahwan, Director of the Max Plank Institute For human development, and Koyo Koh, Executive Director of the Zaytz Museum of Contemporary African Art.

The summit reviews three main axes throughout its days; On the first day, the global transformations of the digital revolution discussed to geopolitical changes and its impact on the cultural scene, and on the second day how to adapt the cultural system with new challenges and invest modern opportunities, and in the third provides innovative solutions and frameworks that reshape the relationship between culture and humanity.

The summit is organized annually at the invitation of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and in partnership with prestigious international bodies, including UNESCO, Economist Empoto, the Solomon R.Gunheim Museum, and Google, in addition to the Academy of Registration Impart Nation Abu Dhabi, the International Federation of Arts and Cultural Agencies, the Louvre Abu Dhabi, and the family of the family Ibrahimia, Madrid, and a group of the most prominent cultural and academic institutions.

The summit reflects Abu Dhabi’s commitment to strengthening the role of culture as a unified power and building a sustainable future in which cultural diversity and creative innovation and the presentation of a global platform for dialogue and cooperation between various societies.
