المملكة: 5 factors .. “Roads Authority” reveals the criteria for designing safe “rotations”

The General Authority for Roads revealed the standards of secure rotating rotations according to the Saudi road code.
It stressed the importance of width the road is sufficient for all vehicles, including heavy vehicles.

Standards of Road Duration Design

This is in addition to the intermediate island providing enough space to get around without affecting traffic in the other direction, provided that there is enough space to see the road before rotating and making the appropriate decision.
The authority pointed out the importance of placing clear indicative boards to guide vehicle users, in addition to the design of rotating in a way that reduces the possibility of accidents and enhances pedestrian safety and cycling users.

The General Authority for Saudi Roads

It is noteworthy that the General Authority of Roads launched the Saudi road code last year, which is the technical reference for all parties responsible for the roads, whether inside or outside the urban domain.
The work started to activate the Saudi road code on the projects of government agencies from the beginning of this year 2025 AD.
To be applied to the projects of the private authorities from 1/6/2025 AD, and the code is applied to new projects or the existing roads when maintaining them.
