“Dubai Health” launches an “care” initiative to enhance the care of senior citizens in their homes

In light of the above that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, announced in 2025 to be the “Year of Society” in the UAE, the Dubai Health Authority launched its unprecedented initiative “Care”, which the authority is implemented with unremitting efforts, with the aim of raising the quality of the lives of senior citizens, and surrounding them with more integrated health care in their homes.
The initiative aims to achieve the target of the social agenda 33 through direct communication with members of society, in various regions of the Emirate of Dubai, through interactive meetings, to introduce the benefits of the unified government health security program “Care”, and to listen to their opinions, observations and ideas about the program, and in a way that contributes to enhancing its efficiency and benefiting from it, as one of the main possibilities to ensure a sustainable healthy life for the elders, And consolidating the culture of comprehensive prevention and care, in line with the UAE’s tendencies in building a more coherent and quality society in life.
The Executive Director of the Dubai Health Security Corporation at the Dubai Health Authority, Mona Baman, explained that the “Care” initiative translates the authority’s commitment to enabling community members to be active partners in the health care system, through direct communication with them, and listening to their demands and needs related to health guarantee, in a way that contributes to developing health services directed to beneficiaries of the “Care” program.
Mona Bagman said that the initiative, which will continue until the end of next December, with a number of centers and community councils in the Emirate of Dubai, includes extensive medical examinations and services, targeting 155,000 people, who are affiliated with the Unified Government Health Insurance Program, “Intensity”, in Dubai.
Mona Bajran pointed out that the authority has prepared groups of specialized medical teams, which include highly efficient nursing cadres, to start their exceptional initiative “Care”, as medical teams will move according to pre -dates and with the highest levels Citizens, in proportion to the basic needs of them and their health conditions, according to the highest standards in force globally, and in a manner that guarantees this dear category, integrated care, and achieves its satisfaction and happiness.
Mona Bajman added: The authority has allocated- within the same initiative- a campaign of comprehensive and expanded medical examinations and services, which includes more than 30 specialized services, including basic examinations and medical consultations, which will be provided (for free), which pertains to “cardiovascular health, diabetes, liver health, kidney, respiratory system, eyes, bones and muscles, mental health, skin health and skin”, and other services related to Men and women, in addition to public health and prevention services, basic tests, blood analysis, obesity and nutrition.
She pointed out that service providers from hospitals and medical centers will communicate with all the beneficiaries of the campaign, through text messages and other means of communication, to inform them directly about the results of the tests, and then provide the necessary recommendations to each person separately.
On the coverage places, Mona Bajran stated that the medical examination and services campaign covers all areas of Dubai, and includes 8 centers and councils, and the places and dates of the campaign, which have already started, have already started in the Rashid Center for People of Determination, and continue successively until the end of December of this year, in the centers (Happiness of the Senior Citizen – Al -Mamsar, and Community Brembling), as well as councils: Umm Suqeim, Flower, Rashidiya, and Hatta.
She explained that the authority has completed all coordination and preparation work with all concerned parties, especially with those in charge of the unified government health insurance program “Care”, along with more than 15 hospitals and a medical center, from service providers in the private health sector in Dubai, who pledged to provide specialized medical teams, and the necessary equipment to conduct examinations and provide the necessary services for nearly 155 thousand people in Dubai.
This qualitative initiative reflects the commitment of the Dubai Health Authority to see and the emirate’s directions to enhance the quality of life for senior citizens, and to consolidate Dubai’s position as a world leading city in providing sustainable health care, in line with the goals of the social agenda 33 and the initiative of the community 2025.
