“Finance” and “Lulu” signs an agreement to provide the best offers for “Federal Catalog”

The Ministry of Finance concluded a strategic agreement with the “Lulu Hypermarket” company to provide “Federal Catalog” products with the best offers and prices through the digital purchasing platform. The signing ceremony of the agreement took place today in Dubai, in the presence of the Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Mohammed bin Hadi Al -Husseini, the Chairman and Managing Director of the “Lulu International” group, Youssef Ali.
The agreement aims to provide a wide range of high -quality products that meet the needs of the federal authorities, and the federal authorities applied to the digital purchasing platform will be able to benefit from exclusive discounts, which contributes to enhancing the effectiveness of public spending and achieving the best value for money.
This bilateral cooperation between the two sides reflects a joint commitment to achieving the highest levels of efficiency in government resource management through the facilitation of purchases and enabling the federal authorities to digitize the resource page through the platform, which enhances transparency and ensures the speed of implementing purchasing operations, and the agreement also embodies the efforts of the Ministry of Finance to expand the network of accredited suppliers within the digital purchasing system, in a way that contributes to facilitating access to various options From commodities at competitive prices and flexible supply conditions.
Al -Husseini said: “This strategic agreement comes within the continuous efforts of the Ministry of Finance to develop the government purchasing system and enhance its efficiency, in a way that keeps pace with the aspirations of the federal government towards more flexible and sustainable work models, and we seek through this cooperation to provide various and high -quality options that meet the needs of government agencies, and enhance the principles of transparency and competitiveness.”
He added: “Cooperation with the Lulu International Group represents an important step within the Ministry’s efforts to expand the network of partnerships with the private sector, and to activate its role as a basic partner in the state’s economic development process, as it reflects our commitment to adopting advanced digital solutions that contribute to improving the efficiency of spending, ensuring the continuity of supply, and supporting the government’s directions towards a smart and integrated financial system that achieves sustainability and leadership in the long run.”
In turn, Ali said: “We are proud of our cooperation with the Ministry of Finance within the framework of this strategic agreement, which represents an important step towards strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors, and contributing to the development of the government digital purchasing system in the UAE.”
He added: “By providing high -quality products within (Federal Catalog) at competitive prices, we confirm our commitment to support the government’s vision in achieving efficiency and sustainability in resource management, and the launch of the (Punch Out) feature between the digital purchasing platform and the Lulu Group site represents a qualitative shift in the integration of electronic purchasing processes, and we look forward to continuing this fruitful cooperation in a way that achieves the benefit of all the parties concerned.”
On the sidelines of the signing of the agreement, the “Punch Out” transportation was launched between the digital purchasing platform and the electronic shopping platform for the “Lulu Group”, which is one of the most prominent digital developments that were recently introduced on the platform.
This feature represents a kind of e -integration, as it allows the users of the federal authorities to move to the supplier’s electronic shopping platform through the digital purchasing platform directly, selecting products, then sending requests and completing purchase procedures with ease and effectiveness.
Lulu Hypermarket is one of the first suppliers to be activated by the “Punch Out” feature, which reflects the continuous expansion of the digital platform in linking government agencies to the best local suppliers.
The digital purchasing platform is one of the most prominent digital transformation initiatives in the government work system, as it allows the federal authorities to implement digital purchases within a unified and transparent environment, and contributes to improving and simplifying procedures and reducing operational costs.
The “Federal Catalog” on the digital purchasing platform is one of the leading initiatives in the digital transformation of purchases in the federal government, as it aims to accelerate and simplify purchases for the federal authorities from 60 days to 6 minutes, and the “catalog” contains a wide range of products and services where users in the federal authorities can search for the required products and services and add them to the shopping basket without the need to launch Tender The “catalog” includes 35 categories, more than 120 thousand products, and a service provided by more than 400 suppliers.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Finance has completed the requirements of the purchasing law in the federal government in a way that enhances government spending efficiency and supports innovation and sustainability, as it launched last February a guide for purchasing procedures in the federal government, which aims to regulate and simplify procedures and facilitate the application of the law to all government agencies.
It also announced the launch of the powers delegation matrix, which aims to determine the responsibilities clearly, which enhances the effectiveness of procedures and ensures adherence to the approved standards.
In this regard, the Ministry of Finance organized training workshops for the federal authorities to inform them of the updates of the purchasing law in the federal government and the guide for purchasing procedures and the provisional delegation matrix. The Ministry also held training sessions for all the federal authorities used for the digital purchasing platform in order to clarify the most prominent updates that took place on the platform in line with the requirements of the law.
