Israeli strikes on the outskirts of Damascus .. The mufti warns of “sedition”

The Syrian Arab News Agency said today, Wednesday, that Israel launched raids on the outskirts of Damascus, after Israel announced that it had targeted “extremists” who were preparing to attack members of the Druze in the town of Sahnaya, southwest of the capital.

A source in the Syrian Ministry of Interior said that the security forces are seeking to end clashes in the region between armed groups operating outside the control of the state.

For his part, the Grand Mufti in Syria, Osama Al -Rifai, warned of “sedition” after the clashes that erupted in the Sahnaya area near Damascus between militants linked to power and others Druze, at least 22 people were killed.

The Mufti said in a speech broadcast on his official page on Facebook, “Syrian brothers, you and the temptation, because the temptation knows the first and does not know the last of them,” adding, “If the strife is caught in our country … then we all, all our races and all our religions, all our sects, we are all losing.”
