Spain .. 1.6 billion euros losses due to the power outage

The Spanish Business Entrepreneurship Union said that the comprehensive interruption of electricity in Spain yesterday, Monday, caused economic losses amounting to about 1.6 billion euros (1.8 billion dollars), equivalent to 0.10 percent of GDP.
The Spanish newspaper “El Pais” reported that some bank analysts expect losses ranging between 2.25 and 4.5 billion euros as a result of the power outage.
At the same time, other experts expect less losses, because the shortage of production can be compensated due to the power outages throughout the year.

Paralysis of more than 10 hours

The power outage was paralyzed for more than 10 hours, and many industrial companies such as Volkswagen Pamplona and Sate are forced near Barcelona to stop its production.
Some industrial facilities announced that they were damaged as a result of energy supply disorder.
Food industries and retail companies also complained about significant losses, for example, as a result of supply chains disorder.

Many major stores were forced to get rid of their stocks of frozen commodities due to their high temperature during the power outage.
Many restaurants and stores were closed early last Monday, and ATMs and payment card systems were disrupted during the interruption period.

The reason for the power outage is unknown
