An American-Iranian race to find a pilot after his fighter was shot down in Iran

The Iranian Fars News Agency reported on Friday that The Iranian Armed Forces launched a search for an American pilot after his fighter plane was shot down in the airspace of the Islamic Republic.

The agency reported:"Military forces launched a search operation to find an American fighter pilot who was injured earlier today"

On the other hand, an American official confirmed to Reuters that an American fighter plane had crashed in Iran, and a search was underway for its crew.
