The continued escalation .. India closes its air field in front of Pakistani aircraft

On Wednesday, India announced the closure of its air field in front of Pakistani aircraft in response to Pakistan’s ban on the flight of Indian aircraft over its territory, in a new episode of the continuous escalation series between the two countries since the bloody attack that targeted the Indian part of Kashmir.

Relations between the two nuclear neighbors have deteriorated since New Delhi held its rival Islamabad responsible for an armed attack that took place last week in Bahmam in the Indian part of Kashmir, and it was the most harvested for civilians in the region for a quarter of a century.

Islamabad denied this accusation, but the two countries exchanged fire on a daily basis along their borders and took revenge measures, including the expulsion of diplomats and the closure of the borders.

Mutual closure

New Delhi said in an advertisement for airlines, that the Indian airspace closed until May 23 in front of the registered or rented aircraft in Pakistan, “including military flights.”

On April 24, Pakistan closed its air field in front of Indian aircraft.

An imminent Indian military strike

The step of closing the Indian field in front of Pakistani aircraft came after Islamabad announced that it had received “reliable intelligence information” stating that India was planning an imminent military strike that promised to respond to it.

A high -ranking government source said Agence France -Presse, that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi left the army “full of freedom” to move in response to the attack during a closed meeting on Tuesday.

In a statement issued at dawn, the Minister of Information, Atallah Tarar, said that “any aggressive action will be met with a decisive response.”

Tarar said: “Pakistan has reliable intelligence information that India intends to launch a military strike within 24 to 36 hours, using the Bagham incident as a weak excuse,” Tarar said.

But Foreign Minister Isaac Dar confirmed that Pakistan will not initiate the attack.
