Cleveland Clinic succeeds in performing the first active interdiated atmosphere in the state

Abu Dhabi on May 1 / WAM / Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Hospital announced his success in carrying out the first operation of its kind in the UAE to plant the active otter of a 63 -year -old patient who suffers from a chronic mixed hearing loss and continuous ear infections, and this medical achievement represents a qualitative shift in treating complex hearing loss cases.
The interdiated ear is an advanced option for patients who suffer from damage to the middle and internal ear, as the cultivation exceeds the damaged parts and improves the sound delivery to the inner ear, which contributes to restoring the natural ability to hear.
This type of crops represents an effective solution for patients who have not succeeded with traditional solutions, adding that agriculture works to correct the imbalance in the transmission of the sound and provides a permanent solution to recover.
Agriculture consists of an internal part that is surgically installed inside the middle ear and another external fixed above the ear using a magnet, and the integrated system works in harmony to overcome the previous challenges and is characterized by a short recovery period compared to traditional interventions.
Dr. Schaller stressed the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s keenness to provide the highest standards of medical care, by integrating the latest technologies with treatments designed to meet the needs of patients, pointing to the hospital’s commitment to expanding advanced treatment options in the UAE in order to enhance healing opportunities and quality of life.
