During a telephone conversation with the President of the State, the Russian President praises the UAE’s role in the prisoners ’exchanges with Ukraine
Abu Dhabi on May 1 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him” and His Excellency Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation – discussed during a phone call – bilateral relations and ways to enhance them within the framework of the strategic partnership that brings together the two countries.
During the call, His Highness the President of the State congratulated President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of the eighties of the “Victory Day”, which falls on May 9, wishing Russia and its people more progress and prosperity.
For his part, His Excellency Vladimir Putin thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the successful Emirati mediation in the last and largest exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine during the month of April, appreciating the fruitful efforts made by the UAE and its mediations in this field during the last period.
While His Highness the President of the State expressed his thanks to the Russian President for Russia’s cooperation in the success of all previous mediations, affirming his highness that the UAE will continue its endeavors in this important humanitarian aspect and support everything that would find a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
