Al Dhaid University participates in the UAE Agricultural Conference and Exhibition 2026

Al Dhaid, April 20 / WAM / The University of Al Dhaid is participating in the UAE Agricultural Conference and Exhibition 2026, which will be held from April 22 to 26 at the ADNEC Al Ain Centre, as part of its efforts to enhance its academic and research presence in supporting the agricultural sector, and to contribute to the development of innovative solutions based on sustainability and modern technologies.

The university’s participation this year comes within a strategic vision that aims to highlight its role in developing applied agricultural knowledge, by presenting a set of educational and research initiatives and programs that reflect its orientation towards linking education outcomes with the needs of the agricultural sector in the country.

During its participation, the university will highlight its most prominent research projects and academic specializations related to agriculture and the environment, in addition to reviewing its efforts in supporting innovation and enabling students and researchers to develop practical solutions that contribute to achieving food security and sustainability.

It also reviews the contributions of the College of Veterinary Medicine in supporting the health of livestock and promoting modern veterinary care practices, through its academic programs and research initiatives that keep pace with international best practices, in addition to highlighting the role of the College of Environmental Sciences, especially the geology specialty, in studying natural resources and understanding geological formations and their relationship to the agricultural environment, which contributes to supporting sustainability and efficient resource management.

In the context of its scientific participation, the university participates in the dialogue sessions accompanying the exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, where Her Excellency Dr. Aisha Ahmed Bushalibi, Director of Al Dhaid University, participates in the first dialogue session entitled “National Agriculture Data – From Data Collection to Decision Making,” on April 22nd, which addresses several topics, most notably the role of academic institutions in transforming agricultural data into predictive models and practical solutions that support decision makers, in addition to discussing the readiness of educational outcomes to keep pace with the digital transformation in the agricultural sector.

The university also participates in the “Second National Agricultural Extension Forum,” which highlights the future vision of agricultural extension, harnessing artificial intelligence technologies to achieve sustainability and production efficiency, enhance the efficiency of animal production, and apply good agricultural practices. In this context, Dr. Abdullah Al-Saadi, from the College of Agriculture, will participate in a dialogue session entitled “Harnessing Artificial Intelligence to Achieve Sustainability and Production Efficiency,” on April 23.

Her Excellency Aisha Bushalibi stressed that the university’s participation in this event represents an important platform for enhancing cooperation with various entities and institutions working in the agricultural sector, and exchanging experiences and knowledge.

She pointed out the university’s keenness to be an active partner in supporting the process of agricultural development in the UAE, by focusing on scientific research and innovation, and providing quality educational programs that contribute to preparing national cadres capable of facing the challenges of the future.

Through its participation, the university seeks to provide an integrated knowledge experience that reflects its vision of supporting sustainable agriculture and developing innovative solutions that serve society.
