المملكة: Marketing and development platform .. The launcher in Al -Qunfudhah Festival inaugurates

The Governor of Al -Qunfudah, Muhammad Al -Qabaa, inaugurated the activities of the fourteenth mango festival in Al -Qunfudah Governorate, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khaled Al -Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Al -Mukarramah Region.

The festival lasts for 3 days in the public park in the Western Corniche, and it is a marketing and development platform aimed at highlighting the agricultural capabilities of the governorate, which embraces more than 4,288 farms, which includes more than 520,000 mango trees, with an annual production estimated at 52 thousand tons of the finest and most famous varieties.

Support local farmers

The Director General of the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Makkah Al -Mukarramah Region M. Majid Al -Khalif, that the festival contributes to supporting local farmers and promoting their agricultural products, as well as enhancing the status of Al -Qunfudhah as a promising agricultural, economic and tourism center.

He also called on the people and visitors to interact with the accompanying activities that reflect the agricultural and heritage character of the governorate.

22 specialized exhibitions

The festival is witnessing the participation of more than 22 exhibitions specialized in displaying mango products, as well as pillars for productive families, folklore shows, and entertainment competitions for visitors, organized by the Office of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Al -Qunfudah Governorate, in the framework of its continuous support for the agricultural sector and the achievement of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision in sustainable rural development.
