Publishing House "Adeva Graz" Austrian displays the precious faximils in "Abu Dhabi Book"

Abu Dhabi on May 1 / WAM / The Austrian Publishing House, “Adeva Graz”, specialized in the production of the microscopic foximel copies of the rare manuscripts and books at the activities of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2025, reviewed a group of its most prominent publications that reflect its deep commitment to preserving the human cultural heritage.
The participation of the house received wide attention from visitors to the exhibition, especially those interested in rare manuscripts and the art of the book, as replica models of manuscripts dating back to the Middle Ages and the Caroling era were displayed alongside historical Aglas and illuminated religious books produced using accurate artistic and scientific techniques that simulate the original in terms of materials, binding and decoration.
Paul Strousel, representative of Adeva, said in a statement to Emirates News Agency “WAM”, that the Abu Dhabi Book Fair is one of the most prominent cultural platforms in the region and gives us an opportunity to introduce the public the importance of the faximils as a way to preserve the treasures of the World Heritage.
“We have noticed an increasing interest from visitors with the manuscripts that we revive them using techniques that guarantee a semi -full match with the original,” he added.
He pointed out that the participation of the house at the Abu Dhabi Book Fair started since 2009 and we are keen to be present annually because of its high level of organization and increasing attention from the audience with rare books and I consider it one of the best book exhibitions in the Middle East region and this year is exceptional with the extension of the exhibition for ten days for the first time, which gives us a greater opportunity to interact with visitors, and I am very happy to be here.
He explained that the house since its inception in 1949 has produced more than 125 works within the “Codheses Selecti” series, which is the largest of its kind in the world along with dozens of prisons, encyclopedias, travel books, history, art and music. The house also created artistic platforms made of luxury wood, velvet and skin to present its books in a high -end and unique style.
He pointed out that the house previously celebrated last year during its participation in the Sharjah International Book Fair, the 75th anniversary of its founding, as the publisher Paul Strouse was honored by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, by granting him the golden statue in appreciation of his contributions to preserving the human cultural heritage.
He stressed that they are working to expand their projects to include Arab and Islamic manuscripts and works in the near future in order to enhance the cultural dialogue between civilizations.
He said, “Through its strict commitment to the highest quality standards, Adeva continues to provide a unique experience for researchers and book lovers, allowing them to reach rare treasures that are difficult to see in its original image and its position is established as one of the most prominent publishing houses in the world’s faximil.”
He added that the implementation of any faximelle project takes about a year of perfect work and is issued in a limited edition attached to the folder of comments that explain the background of the copy and its content with scientific accuracy.
