“Culinary Arts” documents the Saudi food heritage at the Kuala Lumpur Book Fair

Share The Saudi Food Heritage, and highlights the local culinary arts as part of the Kingdom’s cultural identity.
The most prominent publication is the book “The Saudi Table Trip”, issued by the “Our Kitchen Legacy” initiative, which documents the culinary traditions in the thirteen regions of the Kingdom, and in 2024 it won the “Gourmand” International Award in the categories “Best Hospitality Book” and “Best Arabic Cookbook”.
The National Food Heritage
It includes The pillar is the book “Buraidah,” which showcases the food and cultural heritage of the Qassim region, and its distinctive popular dishes associated with the agricultural environment and traditional markets. It deals with the city’s march towards being registered as an innovative city in the culinary arts with UNESCO, making it the first Gulf city and the second Arab city to join the Creative Cities Network in this specialty.
Through its participation, the authority seeks to introduce visitors to the exhibition to its efforts to document traditional Saudi recipes, empower chefs and craftsmen, and preserve the national food heritage. As one of the elements of intangible cultural heritage.
