“Innovations bridging” a symposium at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah on May 2/ WAM/ Experts from industrial and governmental institutions presented their vision about the innovations and tools that depend on artificial intelligence, at a symposium “Breaking Innovations” hosted by the American University in Ras Al Khaimah.
Speakers of various fields, including information technology, retail trade, medicines, ceramics, statistics and public facilities, emphasized that artificial intelligence and digitization are the two main engines of transformational developments in the industry and our daily life.
Dr. David A. Schmidt, President of the American University in Ras Al Khaimah, is that strengthening influential cooperation in the sector is not only our goal, but is the cornerstone of our mission, and this symposium celebrates this commitment.
He added that the symposium is an opportunity to display the work that takes place on the university campus, which is strengthened through partnerships with companies, institutions and innovators, and from advanced research in the field of sustainable energy to developments in the field of artificial intelligence, the faculty and students at the university address the urgent issues in the current era.
For her part, Noura Al -Awadi, head of the Microsoft Higher Education Sector, said that the shift from the semester to work requires new skills, including the ability to adapt to new technologies, strong communication skills, critical thinking, problem -solving capabilities, teamwork, and digital literacy.
She stressed that the competencies of artificial intelligence go beyond technical roles to include almost every field.
For his part, Ahmed Murad, CEO of Information at Transsticide, cited examples of how artificial intelligence affects the company’s logistics and transportation in the company, storage, financial and operational intelligence, sales, product recommendations, and stock management.
Mohamed Issa, Director of IT and Mobility Solutions at the Ras Al Khaimah Communications Authority, also presented glimpses of Ras Al Khaimah’s strategy for sustainable transport, which aims to provide safe, reliable and smart transportation based on artificial intelligence.
Outcars Jain, the director of renewable energy in the Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, highlighted the municipality’s strategy to advance towards a sustainable data -based future, using information technology solutions that allow energy management, environmental control, traffic control and industrial operations.
For his part, Agils Metch, Senior Director of Technical Operations in Julphar, explained how the company was taking advantage of artificial intelligence and digital solutions to distinguish operations, compliance and safety, with advantages such as predictive maintenance, “Oee” calculator, digital twins, smart schedules, and automatic visual examination.
For her part, Eshraq Laram, a first statistical expert in data science at the Ras Al Khaimah Statistics Center, explained how the center provides high -quality and timely related data, which enables the government and supports innovation, and ultimately improved people’s lives.
For his part, Nahil Shatufidi, Vice President of the Information Technology Department of Ras Al Khaimah Ceramics, shed light on the many benefits of digitization in his talk about “digital transformation in manufacturing industries: supported by industrial academic cooperation.”
