The Sustainability and Innovation Center of Dubai Electricity receives a delegation from the University of “Hong Kong Metropolitan”

The Sustainability and Innovation Center of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority received a delegation from Hong Kong Metropolitan University. The visiting delegation was briefed on the latest clean and renewable energy technologies and innovations around the world, and the most prominent projects of the leading authority supporting the achievement of carbon neutrality.
Said Mohammed Al -Tayer, Managing Director, CEO of the authority, said: Clean and renewable energy innovations and strategic partnerships with major universities, institutions and companies emerging locally and globally.
Dr. Aisha Al -Nuaimi, Director of the Administration of the Sustainability and Innovation Center in the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, provided a full explanation of the university’s most prominent projects, including the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Complex, the largest solar energy complex in one location in the world according to the independent energy product model.
Al -Naimi, the delegation, also briefed the “Green Hydrogen, the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa region to produce hydrogen using solar energy; and the” Green Charger “initiative, which provided the first general infrastructure for charging electric vehicles in the region.
Al -Nuaimi accompanied the delegation in a tour throughout the exhibition area within the sustainability and innovation center, which includes more than 30 interactive shows on the most prominent inventions and historical innovations in the field of electricity and the latest developments in the field of renewable and sustainable energy.
The visiting delegation praised the efforts of the Sustainability and Innovation Center to consolidate the bonds of cooperation between companies and academic institutions and mobilize global efforts to accelerate energy transmission. The delegation praised the projects of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, which constitute a model to follow the optimal benefit from resources to achieve sustainable development.
