المملكة: Within the map of Saudi architecture, the launch of the Makkah Al -Mukarramah building and the Holy Places

The Royal Commission for the city of Makkah and the Holy Places officially launched the Makkah Al -Mukarramah and the Holy Places, in a move aimed at consolidating the ancient architectural heritage of the Holy present and its feelings, reflecting its spiritual and historical position and enhances the quality of life for the population and visitors.
This launch comes as an extension of the map of Saudi architecture, which was previously launched by His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister – may God protect him – which has set a comprehensive national framework for architecture standards in the Kingdom.

Makkah Al -Mukarramah architecture

The Royal Commission confirmed that the Makkah Al -Mukarramah Building depends on three architectural sources: the second Saudi expansion of the Grand Mosque, which is a central architectural source, landscapes, and traditional architecture, and the design directions were formulated within six main axes that include: gravity, sanctuary, privacy, movement, nature, abstraction, with the aim of preserving the spirituality of the place and enhancing the experience of the guests of Rahman.

The launch of Makkah Al -Mukarramah and the Holy Places aims to develop the urban scene in a sustainable and balanced manner through the use of local materials that reflect the natural environment of Mecca, and to provide various alternatives to build a contributing to promoting urban harmony.
The design trends also seek to achieve the integration between originality and renewal, improving the quality of life, and creating an urban environment worthy of the position of the city of Makkah Al -Mukarramah globally.

The Royal Commission explained that this step represents the product of an integrative and participatory work with the various relevant government agencies, in addition to the private sector, experts and specialists in the fields of urban design and urban planning, stressing that the originality of the Makkah Al -Mukarramah building contributes to strengthening the urban scene of the city of Makkah and the holy sites, and supports the vision of Saudi architecture in highlighting the nature of Saudi cities, taking into account the historical, cultural and economic aspects.

The launch of Makkah Al -Mukarramah and the Holy Places is part of a comprehensive plan led by the Royal Commission aimed at developing the city of Makkah and the Holy Places, including urban, economic and social projects, to improve the quality of life and improve the urban scene in Makkah and the Holy Places.
